A biologically inspired cognitive architecture is described which uses navigation maps (i.e., spatial locations of objects) as its main data elements. The are also used to represent higher-level concepts well direct operations perform on other maps. Incoming sensory information mapped local then in turn matched with the closest multisensory maps, and onto a best-matched map.
